Posting Permission Requirements
(May be waved by staff vote if remaining requirements are met)
- Maintaining a forum membership for at least 6 Months demonstrates an earnest desire to be in the community.
- Most who are immature, trolls, delusional, or generally considered "Fluff" have either fallen silent or been removed for misconduct by that point.
Prerequisite #2) Minimum Forum Activity of 72 posts
- Shows willingness to positively participate in forum discussions.
- Helps distinguish those who contribute from those who are here for the Cbox.
Prerequisite #3) No Current or Recent Warning Level (Within 3 Months per 25% Warning)
- Encourages new and current members to actually read the rules and abide by them.
- Shows which members are here to learn, grow, and advance as an individual, rather than here for attention.
* Permission will be revoked if access was previously granted, delayed if not yet granted, for above stated length of time.
Requirement #4) Moderator Review of Forum Conduct
- Upon request for access to the board, requirements will be reviewed by a moderator.
- If requirements 2 & 3 are not met, access will be denied without exception. Requirement 1 may be waved by staff vote.
- If requirements are met, but past posts/conduct have been disruptive, access may be denied with previous posts used as evidence why.
Now that the requirements are plainly visible, here's an explanation why they exist for this board:
> Members who meet the above, and request access, will be allowed to add their input to a discussion.
Reasoning:
- To encourage on-topic, intelligent discussion for the advancement of the forum and it's members.
- To reduce the amount of random posts and increase the amount/relevance/usefulness of information in them.
> Standard members who haven't met them have read-only access.
Reasoning:
- To help prevent threads from being derailed or filled with irrelevant information.
- To give members who have met the requirements a "Safe Place" where they can have meaningful discussion with a minimum of interruption.
> If a member doesn't have access but has valid input, they can PM a moderator to convey their thoughts.
Reasoning:
- The extra step will give the member further opportunity to think and evaluate their input, rather than to act on impulse and respond without forethought.
- A moderator has the opportunity to evaluate and discuss with the member prior to their statement being added to the public discussion.
- Doing so demonstrates one's desire to participate in a constructive way, and can support a staff vote to wave the membership length requirement.

As demonstrated above, the inclusion of reasoning is important.
This board, and this entire forum for that matter, is intended to be much more than a hangout, and "The Sanctuary" is not merely a special hangout for long-term members.
That's not what we're here for.
The goal of this board is Quality rather than Quantity.
Anyone can make a claim and not back it up.
Anyone can say "Do this! It works for me!" and not explain how or why.
Anyone can drift through life and not make a difference.
Our goal here isn't to merely proclaim that we are Therians and Otherkin, but understand what that truly means.
After all, being different doesn't make you special. Everyone's different.
It's what you do with it that determines your worth as an individual.
