Ok guys... I really need your help... Please read through this, and help me out! I don't know whether what I think I am is even possible- but if anyone else has the same thing I would love to talk- even if you haven't please help me out a bit!
Well, I know I'm not just a Wolf and a Black Panther. I feel I am also something else... Otherkin? The creature I'm about to describe is my last Theriotype of my three. I do not know the species, but experience shifts and dreams like I do my other Theriotypes. First- this Theriotype spends it's time in air and in water. (On land only to breed)
On land/ in air: My head is like that of a dragon or serpent, my body is dragon like- I have a long tail that has a large feathery tip. It isn't a feather though... Nor is it fur... I don't know how to describe what it is- more like leather, yet it looks similar to a feather. (Haha that rhymes...) I have two arms and two legs- both have long feather like appendages off them but my back legs are jut membrane with a little of the feathery thing in the edge. (very similar to feathers- layers out like feathers but they are again like the tail tip and leathery/like a membrane) and my fingers are long, scaled and have a large talon on each. They have a membranous flap of skin that retracts like a cats claw. (Not the best reference, but it's the only one I've got) my skin is leathery, and in places it is scaled. On land, my skin is dry, smooth and hard. On my head, there are spines with the same membranous skin that is in between each finger. My face is scaled around the eye, nostrils and mouth. (I think this is to reduce the water/air coming at the eyes/nose/mouth to protect it) the 'feathers' and membrane on my arms and legs go up to the elbow and side. On my back, two wings- but they are very unlike the traditional wings in the fact they had no supports in the middle bar one, but this is hardly noticeable bar a scaled line on the wing- the skin is stretched between the limb. The edge becomes large 'feathers' like the arms and legs and tail- it's a noticeably different material. Basically, a little similar to a dragon, but not a dragon Omar the same time.
In water- my skin is soft and a very little slimy to the touch. My wings fold in to make two spike like appendages which fit against two slight grooves in my back. The edge feathers can still be used for steering or slowing down rapidly though. My back legs are not used whilst swimming through the water, they lie flat against my tail. The 'feather like' tail tip flares out and holds a fan shape in the water- I think due to the increase in pressure. This is also what keeps the weaker skin of the wings against my back. My forelimbs glide through the water sideways as they are streamlined that way, and my ' feathers' are again are fan shaped to help push more water behind me. Between my long fingers, the change in pressure draws out the membrane and the membrane also stretches from the outside of my 'pinky' and thumb to the feathers.
To anyone who actually read all that... I doubt anyone will. Is this normal? Can anybody help and assure me I'm not just going crazy?...

Have you tried looking into mythology? I dunno if it'll help, but most mythologies (especially the classical Greek/Roman) have a variety of mythical creatures/monsters like the Chimera or the Sphinx that are made up of many different animal parts. Perhaps doing some research on hybrids as such may be helpful in figuring what your theriotype is, or at least what it may resemble...?
I don't really know what to tell you. ;/ If I had a visual (I'm terrible at picturing things without a visual aid to help me), I may be able to better understand what you're saying. Have you tried drawing it?

Look into Kirins, or Qui'lins (sp?) its on the guide to mythical beings - or however its titled and its at the bottom- wait, heres the link.. therian-wilderness.proboards.com/thread/324/quilinHere's a cut n paste of the variations - even then, you may be a new breed or Kirin: - Variations Ming dynasty example A Qilin in the dragon, fish, and ox style of the Ming Dynasty. Note the pair of horns. In the Ming dynasty of China (1368–1644) the Qilin is represented as an oxen-hooved animal with a dragon-like head surmounted by a pair of horns and flame-like head ornaments. A Qing dynasty example The Qilin of China's subsequent Manchurian dominated Qing dynasty (1644–1911) is a much more fanciful animal. Manchurian depictions of the Qilin show a creature with the head of a dragon, the antlers of a deer, the skin and scales of a fish, the hooves of an ox and tail of a lion. (An image is shown above as a bronze sculpture.) In Japan In Japanese, the Qilin is called Kirin. Japanese art tends to depict the Qilin as more deer-like than in Chinese art. Kirin Brewery Company, Ltd. is named after the animal, and the word Kirin has also come to be used in modern Japanese for a giraffe. It is depicted as a dragon shaped like a European-style unicorn, only with a horse's tail instead of a lion's tail.

From the description, it sounds like more like a semi-aquatic reptile, perhaps an early ancestor to a raptor, though equally it may not be of Earth at all. Still, the general description of a 6 limb (7 if you count the tail) reptilian does fit the basic idea of the dragon.
I can see where Luna may get the idea of the Kirin from, but Kirin or Qui'lin in any sense don't have claws nor wings, always hooves and a mix of scales and fur. E.g. my wings come from a life as a dragon. Perhaps if you can sketch the image, even just a basic shape and proportions, or find parts of close pictures that we can piece together for a visual, we may be able to help place it better.

I don't think you are going crazy. I do agree with Amber though. Maybe try drawing this kintype if you can? I don't think in no way this is a kirin based on all the research that I've done into them. Also I'm kind of married to one, so there's that. lol Personally to me, it sounds reptilian. Possibly a type of dragon. Either way, it sounds interesting none the less.

As for drawing it, I am currently drawing it, but I'm not really that good at getting it right.

But I'm trying to research into more myths like this to see if what I am might actually exist in myth, especially Japanese mythology.

Hmm. Whilst I think it could be some kind of dragon, a part of me thinks it's maybe not a dragon, but some kind of relative? I'm currently drawing it, but I can't draw it exactly like I see it... I could be wrong though, and it could be some kind of water dragon that can breathe in water and air. I know I can't breathe fire or anything, but not all dragons are said to be able to anyway. And there's also the option that it may not even be of this earth...

Haha that's a relief then. no, I don't think it is either but the dragon part could be right. I think it could be a relative of a deign more than a dragon in itself. I'm drawing it now, I'll be uploading it in dA soon... I dunno. Thanks though!

If it has six limbs (aka 2 arms, 2 legs, and 2 wings) it is definitely not of earth and sounds like something in the dragon-like category.

It's more the fact it's both sea and air dwelling to be honest. And it just seems different... I dunno, I'm gonna draw it and see what people think it could be? I've been this for as long as I can remember but I just figured it was normal, until people started pointing it out as 'weird'.

I would start to think it's a extraterrestrial being not a mythical one. It's probably one man doesn't know about. But again it could be a mythical beast.

I have found out, whilst I've been away, that it is a dragon- a crossbreed between two species- Water and Air being their elements in which they live in etc- and that he/I am the only one quite like this. It's basically a new species of dragon? As for where he/I came from- I know he is not if this Earth but he resides not far from it... Memories of an alien place but I don't know where.

Perhaps doing some research on hybrids as such may be helpful in figuring what your theriotype is, or at least what it may resemble...? ^---This. Amber is exactly right, you have a chimeric form, which is normal in Therian circles. Granted your form seems to be uniquely individualized into its own KPCOFGS; and is interestingly tri-phasic based on environmental factors, but here are some prior threads that discusses chimeras and how to work them into your pathworking or spirituality. therian-wilderness.proboards.com/thread/4097/gotta-come-clean-told-alltherian-wilderness.proboards.com/thread/4670/possibilities-new-kintype

I've put all the things together, and whilst for now, Water and Air Dragon seems to fit, there's something off with the Air Dragon part- even though all the attributes of the Air side are that of a Dragon. I dunno, I could be wrong, it could be something else to do with it but I won't know for sure yet. Thanks for the advice and links though, I'll try it out and see if it helps me, if it doesn't, I haven't lost anything, if it does, I'll be able to see this a lot clearer.
