I need help stopping myself flying off the handle at several people who are driving me nuts. None of my tricks are working and I'm afraid of what will happen if I do. Does any one know any tricks that will help. (oh and I can't just walk away not from this one.)

I used to have some fairly serious anger issues when I was younger. Nowadays, I find it much more difficult to anger me to the "no return" point (for one reason or another.)
What seemed to help me out when I used to get upset was to try and shift my focus from what was making me angry - usually by distraction (writing, movies, etc.) If there are specific individual(s) or situation(s) which are causing you to get into that state of mind more often than not, avoid them whenever possible.
Hopefully that helps a bit.

Haha. Anger sucks. When i get angry i feel like somthing's going to explode out of my skin, its such a horrible feeling... ugh....

Does any one know any tricks that will help. (oh and I can't just walk away not from this one.) I tend to be a very calm person. However I have lost it in a few rare times. I have never vented my anger toward another person. So the way I found that helped me was to totally destroy something or do something that takes energy to do, like to pull apart an old TV or an item that no longer works or has use. other things like ripping apart a cardboard box and even punching a pillow. Be warned as I have hurt myself a few times. The best way to explain the way it works for me it to use all my energy up to the point I cannot continue and then fall asleep after. This seems to work for me and clears me totally of all the anger that built up over time. Up to you if any of that is of use. Now as for dealing with people is a tricky one. As you cannot go to a room to vent. The only thing I can advise to to pull your mind else were at the time. Eg to think of a puzzle maybe like the seven times table and focus on that. Mind thinking displacement. Or think of a happy memory or something major to think about.
