Hello^^
I had my Awakening July 2008 (I know, I know, not too long ago from now). In the time from then to now I had been visiting a few pages on the net discussing theriantrophy and such, that was also the time I started to try out mental-shifting (which was and is an interesting experience). My question goes to any "older"/experienced Otherkin :
Is there a (defined) next step ? Something that helps me to connect with my Kins ?
Greetings Seth

Greetings Seth Well, people have different ways to find out about themselves. If you write it helps, although i'm not the pen and paper type of person. And it helps as well if you have some free time to think and reflect, cause that's usually how you get to make sense of things, and find names too. However, i think most things will come to you, instead of you looking for them. Remember, you are only human now, no matter what you where before, and i don't believe anyone got a special power to comunicate with the past and such, (in a complicated manner) But, the past might comunicate with you, if you allow it to do so.

I have known about my kin for a very long time, though I have not always known what to call myself. Until I knew about Heru, especially her name, and her family, I felt as though a massive black hole was constantly tearing me apart. Now I am entirely at peace with it, and I have grown remarkably (I think) My advice to you would be to write, to draw, to record and study everything you feel you know about yourself, and your origins. Only then can you have something solid to look back on, and correct, if you need to (which i'm sure you will, as we all do). Details may be lost to you otherwise and you cannot move forward. Its a good way to connect with your Kin. Things may open up to you the more you express, but mostly, it's a waiting game.

thanks for these words of advice ;D
and yes I think if I just give it the time all will reveal itself on its own, I mean, I´ve just realized what I am for a short time, so there is more than enough time to get all the other clues^^´´
Greetings Seth

hello seth,
"the next step" and "connecting to my kin"
The next step is so vast, for me i rely on my guides to help me find my next step (i see you've put another thread up asking about totems/guides i'll go and explain more there)
As for connecting with your kin, personally, i connect will my kin but supporting them (caring for my country side, supporting wildlife centres and conservations) i also pratice bushcraft, which is also about care for the land. some people write (as kharu as already said) others paint, or make music (tapping a small drum with humming to your kin perhaps?)
as i said, is really is how you feel you can connect with them, its not for anybody else to decide!
