A question to the forum staff

This question is directed to the Forum Staff, but input from other members is welcome as well. I have a question about the following line, out of the list of "The First Things to Do" on the homepage of the forum:
As you can see, there is a line that contradicts what it means to identify as non-human. "What animal(s) or being(s) you associate, if any,". Is there a good reason for this statement? I believe that it's unhelpful to new members who are still trying to make sense of what they're experiencing. Couple that with the average age of our community and you're bound to see new, young members repeating phrases they see here, and end up saying that they "associate" with their kintype. I see the redundant banter often, where a new member uses the phrase straight out of this list, and is then corrected by a staff member. If it were to be changed, I think it could eliminate some of the misunderstanding that we all see in some of the introductions (not all of them, of course; Tumblr makes sure of that, but I digress). I think of the hompage as the entryway to our "home", and I think it should properly represent us, if my opinion agrees with the community's views on this.
