An Official Statement regarding Surveys, Interviews and more

Noticing the increase of Survey Requests, Interview Requests, and invitations to participate in studies within the otherkin/therian communities (not just TW), we are making an official statement. The active moderators of this community has agreed to this statement and it can change when necessary.

BEGIN OFFICIAL STATEMENT

The Staff Members of Therian Wilderness DOES NOT, SHALL NOT, and WILL NOT give permission to (1) use the forum's contents and postings nor (2) survey or ask it's forum members for (including, but not limited to):
1. Offsite quoting
2. Academic Studies
3. Journalism
4. Audio and Video Interviews
5. Text-based/Article Interviews
6. Internet-based Documentaries
7. News Articles
8. Documentaries on Cable TV
9. Any use of TW data off-site, period!
This includes use of data collected via TW on non-digital mediums, such as radio, print, academic papers and books.
While I understand this may be extremely restrictive in some cases, This is to prevent abuse or twisting of said data to manipulate and portray the community to what it is not. Unfortunately, it is not the first time such abuse has happened within the Therian/Otherkin community. I'd link to examples of how such has happened but I would rather not for the simple reason it gives traffic (and ad revenue among others) to ones who have taken advantage.
In order to ensure none of this happens here, all surveys and interview requests will be removed as soon as possible and any associated accounts will be blocked.
