Vengeance is the hatred of the virtuous. - Anpu.
It’s not always bad to want or seek revenge, or to take pleasure in the punishment of others if the revenge is truly deserving of the crime. (Not that I’m suggesting everyone do it.)
All paths lead to the centre, if the heart is righteous. – An old Egyptian Proverb
Sometimes it doesn’t matter what road we take to get there, as long as we’re true to ourselves and give only what we wish to be given, we will become all that can be of ourselves. And return to our makers fulfilled.
A seed without sunlight grows a twisted tree. – Unknown
Don’t let yourself dwell on thoughts or ideas that are biased or self opinionated.. Those who do not respect or accept the opinions of others, cannot learn beyond themselves and are distorted within.
“Our Therianthropy is the fire, Though we are just a shadow of its flame. These human bodies may contain us, But inside we burn unchanged.” - Me/Heru
When life in the human world gets you down, you can look within to find comfort, whether the source of it be known or unknown, if you know it burns within you, hold on to it. It is a fire that can light even the darkest passages of your life.

DreamingMoonlight- I like that quote. It seems to reflect me at the moment. @ Re- I love your quotes, too, especially the last one.

Harakhti/Heru- I really like that last quote that you guys made, especially to the metaphoric reference to fire. It makes us sound strong and passionate, even through the darkness of our critics and the cruelty of the world. You should expand the quote and write a poem about it- I'd be very interested to read it, that is, if your interested in it
I personally have a quote that I use often- it could regard not just to therianthropy, but to any situation where you feel isolated or misunderstood.
"The world laughs at me for being different. But I laugh at the world for being the same"
I forgot who said that, but my friend to me this, and I've grown onto this quote. It just teases about conformity and how people can be closed minded, even to the point where it can mentally humiliate you. But your individuality shouldn't stop you from being who you are; as long as your satisfied with yourself, then you shouldn't let the world try to judge you or pressure you. Just be happy for who you are.

I have a few... I'm not sure if they quite fit in here, but I'll put them in anyways ^.^

So many good quotes. ^^ You guys are so much smarter than me, lol.
Here's one by Gandhi: "If it's an eye for an eye, then the world will go blind."
Saying not to take revenge; I personally believe if you don't take revenge on someone who wronged you, you can instead change them, instead of making them more hateful.
Here's one by me, but someone probably came up with it before: "The world is in your hand; don't crush it."
Everyone has an influence, whether they see it or not. Don't do evil, or it will spread.
And this one is kind of random, but I think most therianthropes could relate:
"There can be no better way of knowing In a world beyond controlling Are you gonna deny the savior in front of your eyes Stare in to the night Power beyond containing Are you gonna remain a slave for the rest of your life Give in to the night" - The Night, by Disturbed
If you have time, I highly suggest you look up the lyrics of that song. That's just the chorus, so... ^^

Cho, "If it's an eye for an eye, then the world will go blind." I think this one was mentioned before somewhere, and I guess I've never actually believed it. I find it flawed, because I feel Revenge and Forgiveness are two sides of the great balance of Justice and universal harmony. (just like my Sig below) How can you counteract evil without doing one or the other.

@re
Well, I have certainly felt the need to get revenge... and I do believe in justice, but I believe that I should first give the person a chance to redeem themselves. If they don't, then vengence comes, for me.

Of course Cho, There are those that can be forgiven, and those that never will deserve it.

@re
Yes. There are many people who will never deserve it; but some will get it anyway.

Just because it puts a huge smile on my face whenever I'm feeling especially pissed:
"Sticks and stones may break my bones, but my foot up your ass is really gonna hurt."
Haha, now for the more serious one. This has been one that's stuck with me a long time, because I'm ALL about justice and doing the right thing.
"Right is still right even if nobody's doing it. And wrong is still wrong even if everybody is doing it" ~ Augustine of Hippo

These are just a few of the tens of thousands of quotes that I have come to love throughout my life. They’re the ones that tend to creep into the fore of my mind almost every day.
“To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting.” – e.e. cummings
“It is important to fight, and fight again, and keep fighting, for only then can evil be kept at bay, though never quite eradicated.” – Albus Dumbledore / J.K Rowling
“Be thou the rainbow in the storms of life. The evening beam that smiles the clouds away, and tints tomorrow with prophetic ray.” – Lord Byron
"Whether you think that you can, or that you can't, in the end you're usually right." - Henry Ford
“Always laugh when you can. It is cheap medicine.” – Lord Byron
“Remember to play after every storm.” - Mattie Stepanek

"this life is but one of many but the only one we will ever know." Stewy, aka the russain.

Here is one that I find is so true but that many don't think of:
"Only fools feel no fear at all." ~unknown
And one that touched me:
"Yesterday is history Tomorrow is a mystery Today is a gift, that's why its called the present." ~ Alice Morse Earle
There are others but these are the ones that stick out in my memory.

Some people are born right but are too lazy and laid back to do anything useful with their lives.

This is one I think I heard somewhere, but I can't place it, so I'm labeling it "anonymous" for now. It could also be paraphrased, my memory of THIS life is about as bad as my memories of the last one ><
"Those who hunt monsters, are doomed to become them" -Anonymous
"I am in[/u] this world, not of[/u] it." -Anonymous
Just because I can't remember their names, I've labeled those anonymous, just to restate that. They're from someplace, just can't place names ><''
Also, @the foot up the ass quote, *just died laughing*

One of my favorite quotes came from a book I read called Geisha: A Life. The author Mineko Iwasaki always talked about pride, and one of my favorite quotes by her was "Hokori o motsu" which means "hold on to your pride." Ever since I read that book, it's always stuck with me, and is almost like my mantra, you could say.

[/u] this world, not of[/u] it." -Anonymous [/quote] I will have to disagree with you here to some degree. It may be the case in this world but not in every. I know that the dimension I come from I am apart of not in it. It is an extrension of myself, something my being created maybe as a hidding play or some other reason I am not sure but I am not in it rather than of it. But I understand what this means and when we travel to become flesh in this world and others like this I can see how it relates.
