Proboard issue?

hello, I'm new to this board bit had downloaded proboard for my android cuz I'm mostly on my phone, the main sections of the forums are labeled but all the other sections are just the '...' is there any way to fix this so the forums are easier to navigate? or if this is a proboard issue,who would I contact? Thanks ^_^

The admin made another cell-phone friendly wallpaper a little while ago... you should be able to change to it on your profile. I hope that helps, otherwise you should probably ask the admin.

I should have clarified, the site is fine when looking from a browser, its from the proboard app, its easier to read but the different sub-sections of the forums are all labeled as '...' I wasn't sure if admins knew this and could notify the app people..I don't knoe how the websites vs apps work I just figured I'd let someone else know. ^_^

Oh, that's what you mean. I'm afraid I don't know what to do about that, but the admin could let them know. Hopefully they can fix it. It isn't like that normally.

I have not paid for the app, so I cannot see this issue.
I can only assume that the app does not support the image BBC code in the titles of the topics.
I will buy the app and take a look at this as soon as i can.
I will need to contact proboards if this is a fault. It works fine on my ordinary smartphone browser.

I think your right that it's because of the image code. Not a big deal, my phone, while nice seems to be very tempermental with forums and typing with glitches. I spent the three bucks on the app hoping it'd solve the problem. *shurgs* so far this is the only forum I've joined from proboards. lol

So how does the forum behave on your web browser? You say it glitches, does it glitch with the HTML or BBC code? Do any of the images error or not appear?
Which phone/software do you have?

I have a casio commando (andriod), the gliches only come ink when I try to reply or if I'm trying to use the quote box, i may just be a glich with my keyboard although so far the app works well with it but say if I'm replying and using quotes I'll put the curser at the end and start typing, then when I look back up I'll have found out my sentance is smack in the middle of the quote box. Or if i type something then notice a typo or want to add on to a sentance it'll do the same thing and jump the curser to someplace I don't want it. Otherwise the site looks great and is easy to navigate in the browser.

That sort of glitching, I've not seen that myself, but I don't have a way around it unfortunately, or the code for the Titles. Sorry about that.

And don't forget to shout, I skipped your message the first time around because it wasn't directed at me.

I think it might be something with your keyboard, a possible sensitive optical pad that messes with your cursor placement, or even accidentaly touching your touchscreen.

the images indeed seem to hide the topic titles in the app, atm I am not really aware how it could be fixed, maybe some altname to the pictures just like you would do while including pictures through html code.

EDIT: I could look into guides to see if there's a way to still use the pics as topic titles but make it more compatible with the app, not sure how many people indeed use the app though.

I had to glue something over the Optic track ball on my HTC, because it was faulty and skipped the instant the phone was unlocked, but strangely my PC sometimes skips to the middle of a sentence when I'm typing, which is very frustrating.

It never used to do it until forest mentioned it, it's like a curse!

I don't know how to make an alternate name/link for the threads because they are UBB code and not HTML. I'll look it up.
If you'd like to have a look yourself for any useful information, that would be a help, thanks.

i've looked into the titles, there's a way to include text so the titles will be visible in the app, but your text color has to match your background, with the back ground image you're using right now, the text would be visible slightly, i havent found any other way to make your text really "invisible" so far

@to whoever is wanting to look into it.. if you don't have the app so can't see, the main titles are showing (board essentals, gen. Chat, chat, etc) the titles of the sections readers digest, the gaming room, and the music catigories show, as well as the religion title sections. Its just the middle ones that don't. ..not really I big deal for me anymore, I just guess and am kinda remembering which number down the forum I want is. so I hope it helps, but no need to worry bout it unless ya want to.

The only problem is that the text will create a massive gap under the banner, and the forum is already very long (which i'm trying to minimise). And I'm not sure how text thats the same colour would show up on the app? Does the app show the default proboards style? And not a created style?

This app is the worst thing they could have possibly come up with..
I'm sorry to say that I want to go ahead with the rest of the forum, because the lower part isn't edited yet properly but will look like the upper half when it's done.

I will at least try to condense it as much as I can, so that the few people using the app will be able to memorise where everything is, but that's it for the moment.

yeah i already thought it would create a gap or something like that.

the application uses different android/iphone interface parts, which means you dont see a created style.

in case of an image in stead of a board title, it will show up blank.

when there's at least some text filled in under your admin options for that categorie it will show it as normal text.
