I have been re-considering, re-researching, re-evaluating, re-questioning my wolf identity for quite awhile now. Identifying as a parallel realm wolf no longer seems to fit, but comparing shifts and web searches of sub-species--extinct or living--has proven difficult.
At first, I've considered the Kenai Pennisula Wolf, but the information as proven anything but helpful as there is barely anything to be found. However, I don't rule it out.
Now, I've been researching the Alaskan Tundra Wolf and the Tundra Wolf. I know there are others very similar like the Mackenzie Valley Wolf and the Yukon Wolf, but they're just not quite right. My issue has been that the Alaskan Tundra Wolf and the Tundra Wolf are so similar that they come up almost simultaneous in web searches. Geographically, they are worlds apart, but other than that they are very similar. Distinguishing between the two with missing information like ear size/shape or is frustrating. Even web pictures aren't proving very helpful.
Any advice on distinguishing these two to help my search? Maybe I just need to research more. Maybe I'm missing something while I search?

I've seen some serious wolf theirans use sub-species specific behaviors and diet as a means of differentiating between them. While I don't know if such information can help your current situation it's worth a shot, maybe, to look into such particular elements. If they are applicable of course.

You probably already tried but I would suggest using their scientific names during the research, (Canis lupus tundrarum and Canis lupus albus) instead of their common names as many people seem to forget or not realize there's two types of tundra wolf. That could help you narrow down a bit the research I think. You could also be interested in the arctic or the Hudson Bay subspecies?

I have looked into those factors and it has been helpful. I'm leaning more towards the Tundra Wolf, but I'm not pinning it down just yet!

I've looked into those two and size-wise they definitely do not fit. I have also looked by scientific names and it hasn't produced any more information than o e already been finding. Onward, I continue, however!
