Time = Findings, Yet Still Confused

Hello there everyone. 
Yes, I have returned, for those who remember me! Probably not as active, but I am really wanting some help with my "findings".
Alright, so in the past few months I have been away, I've discovered some things. Yes, I can still absorb and obtain energy from plants and the like, but I am almost 100% sure I am not a vampire.
I have discovered though, I am more then a poly-therian, I am a shapeshifter, horses and equines being most popular. This explains why I would never "stick" to an animal, more so I'd change every so often into a completely new form. So that's all settled and happy, even though it may be a tinse annoying, it's sure interesting, and lot of different shifts have me learn a lot too. ^^
So some things I am really needing help with. Just some mind-sets I suppose, but gah, it's bugging me so much. OKAY!
So for quite a while now, it's like whenever someone says the word "ghost" I feel so completely different. In a way I can't possibly explain, it's just weird. But I'm not letting it get away from me, and it seems to be so often. And this has been happening for at least 5 months now, but I've never really thought of anything before, and I know (Or at least I think) it's not possible to be a ghost in any way... :S Which confuses me to this "thing".
And a little story that gives me the creeps whenever I think about it, but this happened only like, what, two weeks ago?
Me and another therian friend of mine went for a walk up above my complex, on an open trail. it's by one of the universities, and the like, but it was pretty nice considering we where in open air, with lots of grass, and a nice big path to follow. We saw a sign that said there was a graveyard a ways up, and we didn't want to go far, or close to there, so we decided only to go a little bit more. As we where walking, we saw a hill off to the left, and even though there was some thrown bushes, we where determind to get up there, because we could see some nice clean space and you could see a lot from there. So off we went, climbing, for maybe 10 minutes. Then as we get a little higher up, I see a wooden plank thing on the ground, and because I have bad eye sight, I saw that it said "Elf Ellis" or something like that. I wasn't standing on it, or next to it, but all of a sudden my friend screamed. I looked shocked at her, and felt panic rise, and I didn't know what was wrong, and I asked her. Soon she started bolting down the hill, and she says "I don;t like STEPPING ON DEAD PEOPLE!!" so I scream, it's horribly disgusting, and ew, there was more of those things further down that we never noticed. I had a complete bad vibe (And so did she) the whole time we where running and walking back, and I almost felt like throwing up. I appologised so much to the spirits that bodies lay there, if any did, and took a deep breath.
We still don't know if those where just memorials or something, or if we where in a graveyard (Which we thought was above us, in the metal gated place) but I'm not so sure. We feel a lot better now and the likes, but something keeps bugging me whenever I think of it, and I think it may still be that I have a little bit of fear left, and I've heard daemons like therian energy (especially fear) best, because it's richer, sooo... if anyone has any help on this too, and how to stay calm and forget about it (I'[ve said sorry sooo many times, but I've just felt the need) So yeah!
