This is Ching, a member of the same system Equa's in. Just to clarify for those who go, WAIT, EQUA'S NOT A WOLF! D:
OK, so I have been sticking my nose in the business of an online "pack" for about a year. I don't say anything, I just lurk on the sidelines and watch them because I think they're amusing. Literally, I do this just for a laugh now and then. Their oh-so-serious news letters in my email inbox always brighten my day.
Anyway, I got to thinking, I would kind of like to join a pack. Not a "pack," but a pack. You know what I mean. A serious one. Not necessarily one where everyone tries to behave like their animal sides only and runs around outside howling and running after squirrels. I just mean people who don't glorify what they are, are down to earth and know the difference between reality and fantasy.
So, does anyone know any groups like this? I'm mostly hoping for groups of Wolf Therians, particularly 'pack' type structures, but I'm not picky. I just want a place to attempt fitting in, ya know? ^^;

@ching There are plenty of wolf therians on TW, that's sort of like a large pack. There are also plenty of fake packs on the internet, unfortunately I'm doubtful that you will find any legit ones. It is possible to always make one, maybe even make a thread here on TW PS: Do you wish to be listed as Walk-in Kin since you appear to be multiple system or would you rather something else?

@jamie
Yes, I might be able to find some friends of the wolfish variety here. Worth a try, anyway. This community definitely seems more likely to offer real, genuine people than a lot of places I've seen lately. =sighs=
Oh, no, I was born here, so I'm not a walk-in. Is it OK for me to just use Equa's account since she doesn't mind, or do I need my own? I can explain more about us if you would like, through message.

As @jamie said you can make your own here (plenty of wolves about!) or hope someone can link you to something.

I view this group as a family, or a pack of sorts. We don't have much of a formalized structure, but there are definite leaders and other who are happy to stay in the background and just observe. I encourage you to see this as your 'pack' and feel free to make contributions as you see fit.

@equa
I agree with both Tele and jamie. You can try to create a pack on here, but just beware that you don't exclude anybody to make them feel unwelcomed.
Though then again, we're a therian/otherkin family here, if you want to say that's a pack

I’ve heard of them, but usually they all are about using the stereotype of ‘alpha, beta, and down the line to omega’ type of structure which a wolf pack really isn’t like at all in the wild. Under natural and normal circumstances a wolf pack is just like a family with the breeding pair -which are normally barring a death of either or both- along with their children from previous litters.
Most described ‘packs’ are usually just online buddies who chat a lot other online and such. In real life, you sometimes see small ones if they are luck to meet up, but still its more of a group of close friends rather than a ‘pack’ in the sense of the word and how it can be used to define the structure of an animal family of wolves.

@equa Like what Tele and Noel said, I think that here on TW is what I consider as a "pack". TW is like a family to me and I can tell anything to them whatever the topic may be. I (in my opinion) would find it useless to try to find a small group of people and exclude any others. I mean, if "packs" developed here, it would (I'm afraid) would turn into cliques; having many groups within one big group.

Not a literal family, obviously, because I already have one. But I would love to find a small group of friends to fit in with and it seems like the Therian community is a good place to start, since most people here are very open-minded and smart. Anyway, I know that it's not as easy as running up to someone and saying, "Let's be BFF!" So yeah... Guess I'd better start socializing more. Not my strong suit, but I'll give it a try. =smile= - Ching

I just want to meet people, I guess. I don't know, wasn't really sure how to word the feeling because when I asked my family (real family) about it, they said I probably was starting to want a pack is all. (my family's wolves and they are eager for me to leave the den, as it were. Lol, so I guess their opinions are a little biased.) - Ching
